Since Maldives has a lot of corals and these dead corals on the shore usually make it difficult to walk barefoot. For a better experience, do buy beach shoes which you can easily get from your nearest decathlon store, or order online at reasonable prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Snorkelling Kit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are planning to stay in Water Villa\/Beach Villas on any private island on Maldives, it’s always better to carry your own snorkelling kit. Most of these islands charge exorbitant rent for the same. By the way there is no need of fins, just the Masks and Snorkels are sufficient to enjoy the corals and the rich marine life around them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Sunscreen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maldives is a tropical country, so you have to put on sunscreen all the time to protect yourself from tanning. A good quality waterproof sunscreen at least 50SPF would come really handy while you are relaxing on the beach or enjoying an adventurous water activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, many sunscreens contain chemicals that are harmful to coral reefs. Please opt for reef-safe sunscreen by which you are not only helping marine life, but you\u2019re also helping everyone\u2019s future Maldives vacation!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ingredients you should avoid in your sunscreen for snorkeling in the Maldives are OXYBENZONE & OCTINOXATE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
